Tyler is a modern fiber artist and instructor based in Maryland, specializing in punch needle, tufting, frame loom weaving, and embroidery. Her practice is shaped by a 15-year career in environmental advocacy, drawing continual inspiration from the natural world. Blending traditional textile techniques with contemporary expression, Tyler uses bold colors, rich textures, and depth to explore the emotional impact of landscapes, ecosystems, and environmental change.
Now a full-time artist and instructor, she creates one-of-a-kind commissioned wall art and leads workshops and private events where she creates space for people to slow down, connect, and discover the therapeutic value of working with fiber. Known for her welcoming and inclusive teaching style, she guides participants through hands-on projects that foster creativity, community, and joy. Whether working with small groups or large audiences or designing art for your space, she is committed to making fiber art accessible and inspiring care for one another and the planet.
When she's not creating, Tyler loves to visit local coffee shops, spend time in nature with her husband, search for treasures at thrift shops, and dream of the next trip to the beach with her family.
