About

Hi there, I'm Tyler, a fiber artist based in Riverdale, MD. Crafting, DIY projects, and making things have been a passion of mine since childhood.  However, it wasn't until I had a particularly stressful year working in the environmental nonprofit sector that I discovered my love for fiber art. Seeking a new hobby to alleviate stress after a long day, I decided to learn how to embroider. It quickly became a form of art therapy for me as I found peace in the repetitive motions. I then took a Tapestry Weaving 101 course and fell in love with the endless possibilities to create with yarn.

More than a decade later, I create unique fiber art using weaving, embroidery, punch needle, and tufting techniques and share my love for yarn with others through various workshops.

My art focuses on bold statements through color and texture. I am driven by creativity, the therapeutic benefits of making art, and social responsibility, aiming to foster joy, connection, and inclusivity.

When not making art, I love to visit local coffee shops, spend time in nature with my husband, search for treasures at thrift shops, and dream of my next trip to the beach with my family.
